WHAT YOUR HOUSE SAYS ABOUT YOU.

Where you live inspires the way you live. The type of house you buy or rent defines your social and economic well-being in life. It gives the first impression about you and what your status in society is. Below is a brief description of what your house says about you. The types of houses were mentioned the Ghanaian way.

Executive House

This house says: “I am my own boss and I control everything around me. The dream of many is to sleep and wake up in a house like this. The Duke model shows off your success in life. Although it is the dream house of many, It can only be afforded by the few wealthy class in society. Closing a deal on such properties can change the life of an agent instantly.

Self-Compound House

This is one of the most common houses you can buy in Ghana. They are mostly found in gated communities around Kasoa, east legon hills and newly developed areas in Accra. Most people describe such houses as self-compound house. It says: “I am fed-up of paying rents”. It appeals to more of the public worker who just came on retirement and has received their initial lump sum of their retirement benefits and a few of the newly promoted young people as managers.

Town House

The signal sent by this house is: “I am not rich yet, this is just the beginning of my success.” It is slightly luxurious and perfect to invite friends home for a meal. These are the self-owned businessmen who are now beginning to enjoy the returns of their investment

Slum House

If you don’t ever want your colleagues at work to pay a visit at home then, you may be comfortable in this. It says: “Don’t invite anybody home.” If you want to attract certain class of people as friends, then do yourself a favor and rent out this property to a neighbor by yourself and move to a decent place because no agent will take such a listing.

Chamber and Hall

This is what we call compound house in Ghana. Families in this type of house share common facilities in the house. This house says: “Trouble awaits me at home.” In this house you are likely to attract enemies for yourself since you have to quarrel with the family next door over payments of utility bills, un-scrubbed bathroom etc. Fights normally end up in police station or the hospital.
